Brevard County does not make the use of facial coverings mandatory. However, it does encourage the use of masks, especially in places where social distancing is difficult or not possible. As part of the recommendation, the local government suggests that businesses post signs at the entrance detailing whether or not they require customers to wear masks.
According to the county’s definition of a ‘business’, the same recommendation would also apply to ride share companies, public transportation, and any kind of passenger vehicles which are for hire. Additionally, this recommendation would also apply to restaurants with alfresco dining and places of worship like churches.
Unlike previously, government offices are open to provide services to members of the public. Still, most government departments will have limited access, and they will operate on an appointment-only basis. As such, anyone intending to visit these offices and access government services is currently required to make a reservation.
